We Helped An NHS Nurse Avoid Unexplained Fines
We were recently contacted by an NHS nurse who was having trouble with HMRC about their taxes. They were being charged with £400 extra than what they normally paid and couldn’t figure out where this figure had come from.
Being a nurse, our client was working most days of the week and all sorts of hours. Even on the rare day off they would have to be on-call or would want to spend their time with their family. Understandably they didn’t have time to concern themselves with their taxes, but still wanted them to be sorted.
They contacted us shortly after they received the letter and we got straight to work. We back-dated their payroll by 8 months and sent off the correct figures in a response to the fine.
Shortly afterwards our client contacted us again; they had received another letter from HMRC saying that the fines had been cleared and they had nothing extra to pay.
